WALKING IN HEALING
Sexual Assault Awareness Community Walk
Join us for a meaningful community walk as we come together to raise awareness, support survivors, and promote healing. This event is open to individuals, families, and community members who want to make a difference.
The Reality of Sexual Abuse
Nearly every minute someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. Every 9 minutes that someone is a child.
In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8: 37
Why We Walk
We walk to bring light to what is too often kept in silence. We walk to raise awareness, support survivors, break the silence, and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
Every step taken is a declaration: YOU matter and YOU no longer have to walk alone
Walking In Healing proceeds will directly support ongoing efforts through Renewed Pathways to bring healing, education, and resources to our community and beyond.
-
Funds will help develop and sustain safe, therapeutic support groups for survivors of sexual abuse. These groups provide a space for individuals to process their experiences, build resilience, and connect with others in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.
-
We are committed to equipping communities with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent abuse and respond effectively. Funds will support:
Workshops and presentations in schools, churches, and community organizations
Education on prevention strategies, boundaries, and recognizing signs of abuse
Training for leaders, parents, and caregivers on how to support victims
-
Donations will allow us to expand outreach efforts by bringing educational and healing-centered programming directly into the community. This includes:
Hosting awareness events
Providing guest speakers and trainings
Partnering with local organizations to increase access to support
-
We aim to reduce barriers to care by helping provide access to support services for those in need. This may include:
Reduced-cost or scholarship-based group participation
Resource navigation and referrals
Expanding access to care within underserved communities
-
Funds will be used to create and distribute meaningful resources for individuals and organizations, including:
Printed and digital materials for survivors and families
Faith-based and clinical resources for churches, schools, and community leaders
Tools that guide individuals toward healing, safety, and support services
